PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The P2-UMT832M is an enterprise-class, Cat5 analog KVM solution that supports up to eight users and 32 servers. Now enhanced with secure Smart Card technology, Paragon II's superior KVM switch technology supports the highest video resolution in the industry 1920 x 1440 at distances of up to 1000 feet. It combines non-blocked access with optional integrated KVM-over-IP and rich management capabilities. It also provides great flexibility and manageability through access to leading platforms, including IBM BladeCenter®.
When integrated with Paragon II System Controller (P2-SC), users can access and control multiple Paragon II systems from Raritan's CommandCenter Secure Gateway (CC-SG) centralized management appliance. CC-SG enables a consolidated view and BIOS-level control of all servers and other IT devices from anywhere, using just a Web Browser.
The P2-UMT832M controls functions across the following modular intelligent components:
- Main Switching Unit: A secure, intelligent, non-blocked control unit that connects users to target servers.
- Enhanced User Station (P2-EUST): Provides intuitive on-screen user interface for PS/2, USB and Sun servers. P2-EUST features the best video quality and highest video resolution up to 1920x1440 at distances of up to 1000 feet. Offers both manual and automatic skew compensation. Video redirection allows administrators to redirect a servers video signal from one user station to another.
- Enhanced User Station with Smart Card Technology (P2-EUST-C / P2-EUST-C-GOV): Provides all of the features of the P2-EUST with Smart Card technology for enhanced security .
- User station with integrated IP access (P2-USTIP1 & P2-USTIP2): Includes KVM over IP capability for anytime, anywhere access and control of servers along with a slim design and GUI for point-and-click remote access.
- Computer Interface Modules (P2CIM): Provide "keep-alive" keyboard/mouse emulation, and both manual and automatic skew compensation at the server. Just plug the CIM into the server's keyboard, monitor and mouse ports and connect it to Paragon II with a single Cat5 cable.
- Computer Interface Modules with Smart Card Technology (P2CIM): Provides all of the features of the P2CIMs with Smart Card technology for enhanced security
